Seed Guides Training
A regenerative tourism training program that prepares community leaders to guide authentic experiences, connected to nature and local culture.
The seedbed of guides
Seed Guides: Facilitators of the Regenerative Journey is the foundation's official regenerative-tourism guide-training program. It lives inside CUCACO Travel because it is, quite literally, what trains the people who end up guiding its routes.
- Total duration70 hours (virtual, asynchronous)
Training modules:
1. Foundations of Regenerative Tourism (5h) — differences between sustainable, responsible and regenerative tourism; the regenerative paradigm: ethics, planetary boundaries, living systems; reference cases.
2. Sense of place and biocultural knowledge (5h) — indigenous cosmovisions and sacred territories; the ecological and cultural identity of each place; methods for mapping the "soul" of a place.
3. Designing transformative experiences (10h) — psychopedagogy of transformative learning; tourism as a relational act: beauty, silence, connection; rituals, storytelling and reconnecting with the land.
4. Regenerative facilitation and leadership (5h) — talking circles, active listening, regenerative agreements; group management and co-creating experiences; inner leadership practices.
5. Citizen science and environmental monitoring (10h) — platforms like eBird, Wildlife Insights, Merlin and Restor; camera traps, geo-referencing, photo-identification; what rewilding is.
Content pending confirmation with the foundation: enrollment requirements, upcoming cohorts, and the remaining modules of the full program (the source document has 7 pages; this covers the first 3).
Where it starts, where it leads
It's not an isolated project.
